About Helo: In early 2007, in the small town of Hannibal, New York, the band Helo was formed. The band recorded their first 6 song EP in April 2007 and then competed in the 2007 Harborfest Battle of the Bands. After that and ever since it has been nothing but constant playing out, writing, recording and dedication to the success of Helo. This 4 piece rock outfit has been compared to bands such as Foo Fighters, Social Distortion and Hinder and drawn fans from every walk of the central new york music scene. After recording their second EP in the spring of 2008, and winning the 2008 Harborfest Battle of the bands, Helo has played at venues such as Club Crystal, Shultzie's in the Plaza, Monirae's, Harborfest Main Stage, DS Humphreys, and Funk n' Waffles, has shared the stage with bands such as Titanium Black, Dead Rose, Under The Gun, Whiskey Mae, Caroline Blue, Hospital Truck, Wagner, 4:thirtyseven, This fabled Requiem, Chalkline Memories and started receiving recognition from record labels such as Chamberlain Records and world-renowned producer Anthony Santonocito. As far as the future goes. Helo is in the early stages of a summer east-coast tour for the summer of 2009 and is currently working on writing/recording their first Full-length album. |
